Singing Teachers
Jennifer Snapes
Jennifer read Modern Languages at Cambridge University, where she sang as a choral scholar in Clare College Chapel Choir. She studied for a year on the ENO Baylis performance skills course, The Knack, before completing a post-graduate diploma with distinction at Trinity College of Music. In her last term she was a finalist in the Isabelle Bond Gold Medal inter-faculty competition, and was awarded the Paul Simm prize for excellence in contemporary vocal music.
Jennifer combines a busy freelance singing career in London with a growing private teaching portfolio. She also works as vocal advisor to the Boys and Girls choirs of Guildford Cathedral, and is a peripatetic singing teacher at several schools in the Guildford area. In July 2004 she enjoyed her first experience of the NYCGB, as a teacher on the Southern Girls’ Choir course at Port Regis School.
