Alexander Technique


Margaret Heaton, MSTAT, ARCM

Margaret Heaton trained at Fellside Alexander School and The Constructive Teaching Centre and qualified and became a Member of The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique in 1989.

She had previously studied violin and singing at the Royal College of Music and was a member of the Halle Orchestra and she enjoys combining her skills and bringing her experiences into her Alexander work with performers.

She has extensive experience of teaching the Technique at Chetham’s School of Music and The Arden School of Theatre and has recently joined the Alexander Technique teaching team at the Royal Northern College of Music.

Margaret has been working with the Laudamus Girls Choir during 2004 and is delighted to be also working with the young singers of the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain.
